I use to have one, have a C now, but I passed the T on to a buddy. It is dead and won't power up, etc...

How does he hard boot it?

Might be a battery issue. First try charging for four hours and then doing a soft reset while it's in the charging cradle (push stylus into reset hole at the back). Otherwise to hard reset, you need to hold the power button while pressing the reset hole with the sylus, and then confirm by pressing up when it asks you.
