We recently adopted an adult dog. She has never been groomed before as we can tell. her nails are so long that its making her walk funny. we tried to sit down yesterday after a long walk to calm her and cut her nails. he didn't try to bite us but was pulling back with so much force when we even grabbed her foot. What else could we do to calm her long enough to clip her nails? She let us clean her ears and give her a bath just fine but as soon as we touched her paws she flipped and went and hid. and now when we try to pet her or call her to us she runs and hides from us. we can't even walk by her withouth her jumping away from us. we really love her we just want to keep her groomed and happy. any tips?
