how to go strait to voicemail

is there a way to go directly to someone elses voicemail without it ringing through on their phone? i'm checking my mom's voicemail for her and every time i try she answers the phone and i get roped into an hour long conversation then have to call back, check the messages, call back and report the messages and usually get roped into another hour of talking

Just call YOUR voicemail.. then select option #2.
Remember to press # (?) when you are done, and then press 1 otherwise IT WON'T send it!

That will only work if you are trying to send a message. It won't work if you want to access someone else's voicemail.

I use the Verizon Backdoor number which you can Google online. This backdoor number allows you to not only check your messages airtime free but to leave messages for other Verizon users in your area code. It will go right to voicemail since you are calling into the voicemail management server which allows you to do this.
