how to get this (military) job?

i want to make weapons (mainly assault rifles) for the military.Do i have to me in the army marines etc. to do that?how what do i have to study(i am barley 14)...i want to know and is it called weaponology? thanks to everyone
i want to do what those ppl do on "future weapons" not go around talking to ppl but making the guns
 
Civilian companies get goverment contracts to build new weapons. I recomend studying Mechanical Engineering in College and then applying to one of the major arms producing companies used by the military such as H&K, Springfield Arms, Colt, or Beretta.
