How to get ringtones onto my phone?

I use ventones.com to make and send to my phone but the problem is I don't know how to extract the song from the message I recieve. I remember seeing somewhere on one of the sites I visited that I needed to have picture messaging for that kind of thing. So I'm wondering how do I get picture messaging.

Side Note: My phone is a ZTE essenze from MetroPCS

If anyone is able to help that would be great!
