I have a memory card, but my phone only recognizes files that are in the "my music" folder. If I put an mp3 in the "my ringtones" or "my sounds" folder, it shows up on my computer but won't show up on my phone when I put the memory card in. I've already formatted it for my phone. I cannot figure out how to get an mp3 (which is only 16kb) from my "my music" folder set as a ringtone. Is this even possible? When I move the file from my memory card to my internal memory, it shows up but I have no option to set it as anything.
Other ways of getting ringtones that I've tried:
Ventones, phonezoo, etc. Ventones doesn't even send to my phone, and ringtones from other sites just end up as really bad quality ones? I can't download from my mobile browser because that's not supported... for whatever reason.
I've tried emailing my phone with the mp3 as an attachment, but when I receive the text it says that the attachment(s) were omitted. I have a flashed phone, and Cricket is my carrier.
I tried changing the file type and then putting it in my "my ringtones" folder, but that still won't show up when the memory card is put into the phone.
I'm really out of ideas. I don't know why my phone will only find files that are in the "my music" folder, and I don't know if it's possible to set files in said folder as ringtones. Help?
