How to get rid of the ending .html on my domain name?

When I got to my website (mjpro.net) it shows the .html at the end of the address. How do I get rid of that? I'm using dreamweraver by the way, don't know that helps.
I mean like, when I got to the my website, in the address bar it says mjpro.net/index.html. How do I get rid of the .html, so it just shows mjpro.net/index, or just mjpro.net?
