how to get rid of that toolbar thing on a nokia ?

i have a nokia e63 and on the homescreen theres the 5 shortcuts to apps on the top of the screen, and underneath theres other shortcuts, i was wondering if you can get rid of these ?

because you cant see the wallpaper and its really annoying
