How to get rid of Spam and Junk email?

I have been receiving spam and junk emails for a few months and over the past 3 days it has gotten ridiculous! I receive 20-30 a day, which is way to many to request to be removed from their mailing list. Is there any other way that I can get my email address secure again? please help! Alot of this mail does not even have the option the request to be removed from mailing list. I just need help with this

I have a hotmail account
