How to get rid of nail polish stains?

hi, i had a really cute pink shirt, and about a month ago i got red nail polish on it
and at first i tried to clean it with nail polish remover, but it didnt work and i tried to take the same color nail polish and put it on the shirt so that it could blend in, but nothing works
does anyone know how to get rid of the stain?
