How to get rid of garden weeds?

I have a lot of weed in my garden, i have tried pulling them out from the root but they still grow back, I have also tried 'roundup' but they eventually grew back. Does anyone have suggestions?

Well, this won't work for this year because you have probably already planted your garden. Next year, spread some black plastic out on your garden. Cover the plastic with a thin layer of dirt to hold it down and also to cover it up sow it won't show. Then put holes in the plastic just big enough to plant the seeds or the plants. This will cut down on the weeds and your plants will grow better because of the moist heat under the plastic.
 
You gotta pull em, but you can use clippings from your lawn between the rows. This will act as a mulch and slow em down, but will not completely eliminate em.
