pop up? This is more of an answer for those having the same problem as me. I've looked on google and everyone is saying this is a virus, it's not. I think it's just some form of adware.
This pop up occurs on Gateway computers, and it's due to a program on your computer called Spare Backup. I was going to delete the program, but I figure it must have some use in the future so I decided to leave it.
So, how do I get rid of the pop up?? Well, when the pop up shows, if you scroll down to the very bottom you'll see a message in small print that says something similar or exact to the following: "Click Here to opt out of future offers from Spare Backup".
Then it brings you to a page that says "Thank you. Your request has been processed. Please contact our Customer Care Center via Live Chat for further assistance."
That's it, you shouldn't receive anymore pop ups once you've done this. Hope I've helped everyone having the same issue.
R: No problem, glad I can help.
ilknur_K: Did you even bother to read it? I mentioned it wasnt a virus and explained how to stop the pop up.
