My Dad has been a sprint customer for 10+ years. My 2 kids and I are on his plan, as it is cheaper for us to share a family plan than to pay individually and he helps to pay for my kids' phones. My Dad lives in OH, my kids and I just moved from NJ to western PA last year.
Our service is TERRIBLE! After numerous complaints, Sprint has told me that coverage is "unavailable" in my area and gave me an Airave to boost my signal. This helps a little but I still have dropped calls and rarely do I receive picture mails or can I access the internet. And if I leave my house and go to the store, I'm roaming!!! So even though I don't get charged roaming fees, I'm using my anytime minutes as my mobile to mobile minutes are not valid when I'm roaming! (Which btw they neglected to tell us)
Now, my Dad has no service in his house either! He had decent service for 10 years, all of a sudden now, he can't use his phone in his own house!
We've called sprint 40+ times to complain and have been given ticket numbers, been transferred to tech svcs, been transferred to acct managers and told someone will call us the following day. Still CRAP SERVICE!
There has to be a way for my Dad to get out of this contract!
Any suggestions?
There has to be another way! It isn't our fault their service is crappy! And I have the Airave (tower). It STINKS! If I'm using my computer, I can't use my phone unless I upgrade to the "BEST" internet because the computer sucks the bandwidth and the phone breaks up. This is absurd! There has to be a loophole in the contract! They should be providing decent service to customers! They don't even have the courtesty to return calls when they say they will! I got phones for my kids so I can reach them in an emergency, but I can't reach them when they leave the house! What's the point of having a phone?
And btw, the airave was given to us free, however you still have to pay $5 a month for the service for the airave!!!
