Freshman year I enrolled in ARMY ROTC at my university. I contracted and the Army Rotc was paying for my schooling and I also received a monthly allowance from them. They said something about I'm not obligated until my Sophomore year, is this true even though I contracted? Also, is there a way to get out without paying the Army back? I really only did Army ROTC so they could help me out with my aviation degree because flying fixed winged aircraft is very expensive. I think it's better off getting loans and becoming a flight instructor after my junior year then Army. Please assist me with my current situation. Thanks
