How to get google voice/dialer to work on my HTC EVO 4G?

I own a HTC EVO 4G smart phone! Since Ive had it Ive been unable to get the Google Voice and Google Search+ Google Dialer to work on it!! Is there a way to fix this this problem or maybe a software I can download that will work better the Google??? Please help as I use to text messages on Google voice with my samsung intercept phone with no problems????? Thanks
