How to get better at sprinting?

Ok, so I just finished my cross country season for high school. I wasn't too great, my time for 3 miles was around 23 minutes. Now, however, I'm starting my preseason track workout. (So I already have endurence built up [and I'm running distance on the weekends]). Any suggestions on what to do for a workout? (I'm going to be a sprinter -100m, 200m, 400m). and I've been reading online and there's something about leg twitches or something? also, any tips on proper form?
btw- im a Female, 15, Sophomore
