How to get back in sprinting shape after cross country?

i'm experiencing the same exact thing! i think it's because i developed a slightly different running form for the long distances. but now it just feels all weird! :/

my sprinting coach has been helping me get the correct form back again, so i suggest you just ask the coach for advice, because only he can see what you need to work on. sorry if that doesn't seem like much help. good luck though! :)
 
I did cross country for the first time this year. Last year, i was a gerat sprinter and won almost all of my races. When i sprint now, i feel a bit different. Any tips for getting back in shape?
when i run distance, my strides are longer than when i sprint. and when i sprint now, my strides are to long and not as fast. thanks for current answers
 
ok wow me too i feel like my body forgot how to sprint it's like i can't move as fast as I could last year. I would just say practice your blocks and do quick FAST starts to try to get in the sprinting feeling again
