How to get a new Tmobile phone?

I am in a family plan with my parents. started about a month ago. I got a phone taht i do not like.
On the website i see phones all the time with discounts but only when you start a new plan.
Is there a way that i can get the same discount but keep my plan? Can i trade in my phone for the one i want? I want a Sidekick Lx 2009
 
Nope if you've had your phone for a month you have to buy a new one and you don't get the discounts your seeing online because you already got a discount on the phone you have right now.
