Lately I've been really interested in astrophysics and astronomy. I am still in high school, but I am seriously considering studying either of the two subjects in college. So I have a couple questions.
What classes do I need to take in high school to prepare me for getting a degree in astrophysics or astronomy? I've taken biology, chemistry, and anatomy, so should I take physics? I purposely did not take physics this year because I didn't want to have to do science involving math. (Science is my best subject, not math. I still make good grades in math, just not as good as my other grades.)
Is there a class in college on "astrophysics" or "astronomy"? Or are there different classes for each subject? Basically what I'm asking is what classes should I take to learn about space?
If I decide to major in astrophysics or astronomy, what jobs could I get after college?
Is it possible to just take classes on those subjects because I want to learn about them, not necessarily because I want to be an astrophysicist or astronomer? I originally want to get a degree in fine arts, so if I did that, can I still take whatever science courses I want?
Sorry for so many questions, thanks for taking the time to answer!
