How to fix vacuum leak? and how to tell if I need new clutch. 94 Toyota pickup.?

Ok. I have a 94 Toyota pickup 22re. Manual.4x4. Can anyone tell me how to find and fix a vacuum leak. My truck idles high and it also surges sometimes. Where would a common spot to look for it. And does it effect my hydraulic clutch because it has been acting funny as in not feeling it come out till its almost at the top. Or do I just need a new clutch also? Really need some advice because I am new todriving a stick shift. Thank you
