How to fix the auto lube on a 2 stroke Yamaha Dt 50 mx?

Basically it's a 1986 DT 50 mx
the auto lube is there,
ive checked to see if oil will run through but no luck.
Any ideas on how to fix it ?
 
not sure how you checked it? & your ability as a mechanic?

the auto lube is there? (you pulled of the cover & there it was)

oil wont run through... it is a pump & the bike must be running for the oil to be pumped through..

suggest you get a manual.. the early RD 250/350 manuals had a good section on the auto lube systems that 2 stroke bikes use..if you don't have the DT50 manual...
 
Just run premix. The old oil injection on the PW50 was problematic too and everything I could find about the subject suggested running premix. The parts required to fix the pump were too expensive really not worth the investment unless you are restoring the bike completely.
