Hi. I have a brand new computer for a friend which I was supposed to take an image of the hard drive and save it in case the system fails because of a virus.
The embarrassing problem I’m facing now is that I overwritten the mbr using Acronis True Image Home (Imaging Software) and when I discovered that I tried to make a recovery process using the hidden recovery partition by pressing the 0 button while restarting, unluckily a power interruption happened while the battery was not connected.
And when I plugged the computer again and tried to power it up it said BOOTMGR Missing but then after several tries to use software like Bart BE (a software that can be installed on a Memory pen to boat the computer through USB) I can't see any options other than system Bios and Boat Sequence.
With this laptop I can choose to boat from usb but the software that I’m seeing online are not helping me it would be great if I can get the computer back to it's original state by managing to access the hidden recovery partition and boating windows by fixing the MBR but if at least I can fix the mbr only to boat the laptop that will be good too.
The Computer is 1 day old model number Toshiba NB200-10G it's a 10.1" Laptop 1GB RAM Windows XP 1.60 Dual Core Atom Processor and it doesn't have a CD or DVD Disc Drive because it's too small.
Now the laptop can’t be boated it just shows that you can access the system Bios by pressing F2 and the boat sequence by pressing F12 then it shows a blank black screen. I will be very grateful to whoever person will help me in getting out of this embarrassing condition.
I have a desktop with a DVD drive so i can use that desktop to save and install any program you will suggest on a memory pen. The software I need is something that can be saved to a memory pen to boat from usb something as good as ultimate boat CD would be great if it can be boated from a memory flash drive. Help me restore the MBR.
