How to fix door handle on 2006 ford foucs?

I went to open the outside door handle and i felt it broke inside. I took off the door panel and found there is a little pin connnected to a metal rod that pops the door open.That broke off right behind the handle.How do i fix?
 
It's quite easy. You can open the panel on the other side and see what it's supposed to look like since that one isn't broken. There's a plastic retainer that holds the rod in place and you need to get another one at a car part store or locksmith shop. Is yours a 4-door? take the part off the back door if you have to wait for a new part to be ordered.
