how to fix a locked door in the car?

hi guys,
i got a 98 corolla. my problem is the door cant be open from inside or outside....

does anyone know how to fix this???
 
Jaws of life? But seriously, you would have to go through the door panel (possibly where the handle is) to get to the locking mechanism at the door jam. and it sounds like you have an issue with the rods from the handles (outside and inside) to the locking mechanism.
