Ok i have a 90' Honda CRX Si and i spun a rod and had the crankshaft machined and bought the ZC high compression .50 mm pistons. I had to get oversized bearings due to the crankshaft being machined. The pistons did not fit so i had the block bored and honed to fit the pistons...they fit perfectly. I put in new gaskets and did all the work myself. Yes i put oil and all the necessary fluids. Ok now to the problems. I am told i have what is called a "piston slap" and it actually sounds a little like when i spun the rod. I let the car run to heat up to driving temp and the piston noise remained the same. After about 20 - 30 min i saw my car was overheating. There is also a sound coming from the head.....it sounds sort of like a buzzing noise.......i removed the oil pan and retorqued the rod bolts to specifications and the noise improved but is still there.....i took off the valve cover and retorqued the head bolts to specifications and the noise remained......anybody have any idea what can be wrong with my car? i am lost at this point.
