I am working on some graphics in Adobe Photoshop. My friend corrects them with few changes.
The file I have is in Photoshop format (PSD) but his have Adobe Fireworks, so he can only open and use PNG format.
Is there anyway export PSD file to PNG with all its layers?
In this process Adobe Photoshop CS3, File>Save as> PNG, the file is exported and BMP and no any layer is exported.
In Fireworks CS3, File > import > (and select PSD file), the Fireworks FREEZES and I have to close it unwillingly.
Can someone help?

I did as you instructed but again, I got file in Bitmap, and there were no any layer.
Layers are must in PNG, and I need them.
