How to do hook up my PC to my TV?

I have ben looking around the web for this info and I keep coming up with different answers. All I want to do is hook up my tv(its a Sanyo and somewhat older)to my PC which is a Dell E5300(?)and I have an ATI Radeon HD 3450. Can I just hook up cables from one to the other? Softwar? I am computer illiterate
This is so I can watch Hulu, etc on my tv.
