I have installed an experimental IME (a Chinese input method) on my Mac but today it made my Mac hang when I press Cmd+Space to switch into it. I restarted and tried again, it still hangs whenever I switch into it. What's worse, in my third restart, it somehow became my default input method at startup time in Finder, maybe that's because I chose the option that allows different input method in different document in the setup window. So my Mac immediately went into the "hang" state after it starts up. Mouse still work and I can open applications from dock, but no clicking on buttons would work, nor is my keyboard responsive. I clicked on the IME icon on task bar trying to switch back to English (US), menu dropped down and I did click on the menu item, but nothing happened. The mouse cursor is that annoyoing colorful spinning ball since startup.
I tried to restart my computer in safe boot mode, it still has that Chinese IME as default input method after entering the desktop, so I cannot change anything in "Language and Text" to remove it. Everything is the same.
Basically my Mac is hijacked by this IME now, I cannot do anything. Is there a way to disable all IMEs at startup and force using of English input? Is there a terminal mode or something where I can delete or destroy some files about that IME so it won't be able to start?
