Immediately, the footsteps resounded, crashing down the stairs and racing through the hall, straight to me. I scramble to the door, locking it just as a force outside smashes into it. The wood shook threateningly, and the hinges cracked as the door is hammered; but it held. Safe for the moment, I contemplate my situation carefully. I look around the room for escape routes, searching for windows or a vent. Finding none, I steady my quivering limbs and face the door. Taking a few last minute gulps of air, I put on my game face and swiftly open the door.
Wrote this in a hury. so he opens the dor and there is the ghost. shost is surprised. quick description of the ghost.
im not asking you to write the next paragraph (you could if oyu want), but for some reason, this one is difficult for me, some pointers, phrases would be helpful
