How to delete history completely? Please Answer!?

i know that experts can go through your harddrive or something, and see everything.. but how can i delete everything so that its gone there too? I know that you can delete internet history and everything but how can i delete internet and basic computer history once and for all?
- hope this made sense!

To delete your Internet history in Internet Explorer, open the <Tools> menu, select <Internet Options>, click the <Clear History> button, and finally click the <Yes> button.

To delete your Internet history in Firefox, open the <Tools> menu, select <Options>, click the <Privacy> button, click <History> and then choose <Clear>.
 
There are several programs that will perform a security erase of the blank areas on a hard disk. If your goal is to prevent someone from recovering credit cards numbers or other personal information, I'd recommend one those. I use Eraser (no affiliation on my part) and I've included a link if you're interested. It requires some computer knowledge to set up, but there are simpler programs out there. Whatever program you end up using, set it up for multiple passes on the hard drive, I usually do seven, but the more the safer. It's a time consuming process, maybe a couple of days, so give it time to work.
