How to decorate my lounge?

Hi everyone, i have a very big sitting room, its a sitting room with the kitchen at the back converted into extra sitting room and an extension on side for kitchen. I'm thinking of using Sanctuary Orianna Wallpaper - Taupe, from homebase, on my window wall and fire place wall, what colour would look best to do the rest of the room and do you think it would look better any other way? Thanks
 
What we've done to our house is done a light colour on top and a dark colour on the bottom,eg,cream and red.Or if you have a chimney breast do the chimney breast a dark (or stand out colour) and the rest of the room a lighter colour.My room has a very nice purple for the chimney breast and mangolia around

I don't know but if its a big room make it a decorating party with all your mates & so finger food, its very fun & work get done quickly.
