How to deal with New Chihuahua Puppy Whining at Night..?

I just got a baby chihuahua 3 days ago. The past two nights she whines around 4 am, 7 am, and 8 am. She is in my bathroom with a light on, ticking clock, crate, pillow, blanket, and wee wee pads (which she knows how to use). As soon as I go in at 4 am she stops whining. She is 8-9 weeks old, the breeder said... but I feel like she is so much smaller (perhaps shes the runt).. Anyway. What can I do? I don't want to spoil her too much and have her thinking I can always go to her through the night. Thanks for any advice relating or not relating to this question!

Hello..My boyfriend and I went through the same situation it is completely normal..shes just not use to the new environment..it's like she was taken from everything she knows..it takes time..it's going to be hard..what we did was tried to play with her as much as possible and tired her out allot..then i would basically hold her tell she feel asleep in my bed in a warm cozy blanket..then so she wouldn't get used the idea of always being in my bed..i would place her in her own bed when she was fast asleep..and get an alarm clock..to animals it sounds like a mother heartbeat..we bought my puppy at 3 months..so i would use an alarm that really helps..and just try to hold her and make her feel safe..the whining will get easier..Hope some of the advise helps.
 
She just has to get used to her surroundings.
Put stuffed animals in there [ thats probably what she had in her previous home]

Try a radio turned down all the way.
Don't give in you will regret it later.
 
She is a baby that is what babies do.
Her mama is gone and now your it. She would sleep with her mother and be comforted all night long probably even nurse every few hours. Now she is taken from her mother and made to go long times without food.
Make sure she gets something to eat before she goes to bed and maybe a midnight snack.
When she grows up and is use to being away from mama she will be fine with it.
 
Wrap her up in your arms & let her sleep with you, for she will be doing that, later, anyway. She's a baby & she needs your contact, since her mama can't be there for her.
