How to deal/debate/argue with someone older without sounding rude, brute, arrogant...?

Let's say age difference is about 20 years +.
It may be acceptable for some culture but it is completely different with Pinoy setting.

So somehow, question is for Filipinos, but feel free to respond even if you're of different nationality.

I think it is fair to say Brian Wilson will not salivate if he debates with a Pinoy 20+ years his junior. Nor will you grow your horn discussing the merits of an issue with another Filipino even if he is older. The point is the age of person is not a factor in such healthy exchange of ideas. In my opinion the Filipino intellect has progressed more than we all have all thought.
 
The first and last thing you must do is never deal, debate nor argue with Filipino elders. Might as well keep your ideas to yourself because even if you are right and may seem polite and kind enough to have said your position, they will still find it rude and disrespectful. Philippine culture is about respect and respecting means keeping quiet...

Add "po" and "opo" frequently to still show respect despite of arguing with the older person.
 
I defer to the first answerer when it comes to street arguments.

In a formal debate, with rules and moderator present, always append titles like "The reknowned" or "The distinguished", even "Honorable" and confer upon the opponent exceeding titles like "His Excellency," but follow it up with words like "Thief", "Imbecile",or sumthin.

Thus, "His Excellency, the Honorable Imbecile from ...".
 
Agree, agree, agree, then agree some more. Po, opo, sabi nyo eh.

Then do your own thing. Explain later. Make sure you have an excuse.

It always works.
