How to cut bicycle cable tubes?

Is there a special tool to cut the cable housing for the derailleurs /bakes? I tried using wire cutters, they failed miserably but it worked... but the tubing was crushed. So is there like a special tool to cut the tubing? I need to replace my tubing soon :/. Thanks.
