I am on juvenile probation and seventeen years of age, residing in the state of Michigan. This probation is tearing my family apart and I really want to get off, but I made a mistake a went to a party at night and was found to be in violation. The hearing will be coming up soon.
So, here's the facts...
My mom is the one who called the probation officer. At approx. 11:30pm she noticed I was gone, and called me. For most of the night, I did not answer her calls. She knew my car was not in the driveway; she had gone out and looked. I returned the next morning at about 8:00am. There was no drinking/smoking at the party.
So how can I convince the court that I was actually home so I can get myself out of this mess? I would have to find a reason for my car being gone, and a reason why I wouldn't show myself to my mom when she looked around the house for me.
Please don't say "just admit your guilt and hope for the best" or some other bs. This probation is tearing my family apart, and my PO said that if I am found guilty I will automatically get nine more months of probation, community service, and possibly even jail time.
Please help me come up with believable story to get out of this mess!
I am NOT "always out partying." This is the first real party I have been to. I went there because it was my friend's birthday party and I wanted to go to a party for once.
And don't tell me my refusal to comply is tearing my family apart. I attended a birthday party, I didn't get in a fistfight with my dad.
