How to convert video and music (including protected movie and music)

Questions:
1: I purchased and downloaded some WMV videos from online music store but they are all DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected, which means that I can not enjoy them on my MP3 player and even play them using Windows Media Player on my PC. So how can I remove DRM from WMV?
2: I have many videos including AVI, MOV, RMVB,etc. I want to enjoy them on my portalbe devices. But portable devices can always accept special video formats. So how to change any video formats to popular video formats supported by iPod/Zune/PSP/Zen/iPhone/Mobile Phone
