How to connect MP3 player to 2004 Honda Accord radio?

I have a 2004 Honda Accord LX. The radio is your basic receiver with a single CD player (no XM, no cd-changer). I noticed that the radio has a CD/AUX button on it. My assumption is this is a generic faceplate that they use on a number of radio models and that the AUX functionality doesn't exist on my radio. Is that right?

Second, assuming my radio does not have any aux inputs on the back, what are my options? Crutchfield offers a Metra installation kit to use with single-din radios, but reviews say it's pretty crappy, so I'd like to just upgrade to an OEM Accord radio with more functionality. I'd just like to know what OEM model I would need to be able to utilize an AUX jack on the back.

Any help?
To clarify, I know I can buy a better model radio, I guess I just need to know what model I should go for (and what model will fit). I've come across several on Ebay, I just need to know which ones actually DO have an aux input.

You really can't tell without taking the cd player out. You are probably right though my car says it has acc.on the front but, no way to hook anything up on back.

E-bay is the best place to look for that radio or wanted add on Craiglist. You will have to find someone that upgraded to a after market stereo. Buying that cd player from honda would be crazy expensive.

You could probably get a nice Pioneer cheaper and way easier.

FM modulator is your best bet for now.

Hope this helps

Unfortunatly I dont think your 2004 can receive an mp3 player or Ipod. They didnt start making those stock until roughly 2007. I would check your manual, but I have a 2002 sunfire, and it has a button that specifically says "cd/aux" and I thought the same thing until I read The manual. It just said it could only take CD's. Its a bummer. but I may be wrong so the only way to find out is by finding it in the car manual :)
