How to connect computer to tv screen?

Me and my family want to watch movies online (netflix) on our tv. I have a windows vista desktop. Do I need a certain cord? Would my camcorder to tv cord work?
Please help! I'm pretty uneducated in this kind of stuff. Thank you =)

well first you would have to place them on a table or something that can substain them together. then grab a camera and take a snap shot that way your computer and your tv screen will be connected forever.....
