how to connect a wireless mouse?

i have a VGP-BMS5P/R mouse which goes with my sony vaio notebook. I need to connect the mouse but i can't. the mouse is just over a year old, and i havent used it for some time. there was no software with the mouse, no usb or anything. I remember having to do something like looking for network devices, but nothing is picking up that the mouse is there. i'm on windows vista. HELP!
 
Usually a Wireless Mouse connects with bluetooth device. Your might have turned off the bluetooth device on your laptop or if you do not have one, you might one to buy a bluetooth device.
