Temporarly in Italy, I got, borrowed, a nice cell phone (LG mod. U8330), equipped with a lot of nice of goodies...camera, video, capability for video calls...it uses a protocol called, here, UTMS.
Because it has an IrDA port, I wonder if I could use it as GPRS-like modem to be able to connect to the internet and check my mail with my T3 (Versa mail is previously setup for wi-fi use).
In the phone manuals I found it has modem capabilities, for PC or MAC connection via USB cable. It does not say too much, tough...
I tried to setup my T3 via the phone Link Icon, but it says to ruun some sort of link adapter, from my desktop PC...no way, it is back in Mexico...
Any hint, suggestion, link, web page to consult?
