how to cast crank baits farther?

how far do you want to cast??!?! my crank baits soar when i cast i feel like kevin van dam. cast half way across the lake.

but the two above me nailed it. a boat will help you reach farther places though.

Most crank baits are not as aerodynamic as a weighted worm. No way to fight the physics. Most pro's will use a different rod/reel/line setup for casting the two.
