does anyone know the command for QXDM v3? I'm trying to work on a client's phone and CDMA Workshop won't connect and QXDM v2.08 won't work on my computer.

I need help. I have the cricket PRL 1040. Cricket EVDO prl 1050.
I'm in the Austin Texas area and currently have the $60 plan. which one of these PRl's do i use to flash the BB?
Thanks for the help and suggestions.
I was going to use QPST. I'm downloading cdmworkshop.

I performed the following steps on a Sprint BB 8330...

In CDMA Workshop 3.5 -
Unlocked the SPC and changed to 000000
Loaded the 1040 PRL
Changed my MIN to my Cricket assigned # and my Direct num to my phone #
Did the IOTA Bypass (Tony's instructions) on the Memory tab of CW
Then Reset the phone and when dialing 611 I still get sprint
I also tried dialing *22804 and it told me that my phone was not able to be programmed over the air
any suggestions as to where I went wrong???
Thanks very much to any help you may provide
I also tried to dial *22804 and Cricket's over the air

I am a "lazy" noob :) I figured out my problem and have fully flashed my wife's blackberry to cricKet thanks to great posts by berry, cain, ryanmogul, etc --- I'm sure there are a lot more that I read. Just wanted to say thanks. Also, I wanted to add a couple of tips to others flashing for the first time.

Here is what I did --- maybe it will help you (bb 8300m OS 4.5.xxx?)
1) purchased CDMA Workshop from cdma-ware.com
2) called cricket to give them the Decimal format MEID/ESN (they asked for either)
4) used CDMA to read the SPC of the BB 8330m and then changed it to "000000" to unlock it
3) used CDMA to change MSID/MIN on the BB to the ones that were on my wife's old phone
4) used CDMA to unlock the NAM (NAM tab - read NAM, uncheck the NAM box, then write)
5) used CDMA to write the IOTA bypass file (found with Google) on the Memory tab --- NV write (it was a sprint phone - looked like non-sprint phones didn't need this step)
5) used CDMA to write the PRL file to the phone
now I have voice and SMS
6) went to EVDO tab in CDMA to update PPP authentication (as per instructions found on this forum - THANKS)
7) Used the crackutil (as perTonyCortes) to remove the BB_Browser as per instructions (before doing this make sure BB is in legacy mode --- while holding ALT press s b e b --- also backup your BB in case something goes wrong using BB desktop program)
8) Added the BB_Ckt_WAP_MMS.ipd file using BB Desktop manager
9) Reloaded the BB browser via the Crackutil

now she has voice + web and I'll load Logic mail so she gets email also --- at a much cheaper price than the big cell companies :clapping:

hopefully I didn't re-arrange some steps - going off of memory (I wrote everything down so I can do it again).

Hope that may help someone --- CDMA is well worth it, I'm going to try a couple of more phones and hope to add more.

Thanks a lot for all the great posts.

I was a able to get the SPC from my phone and now when I dial ##SPC I get the CDMA Service Edit Screen on my [SPRINT 8830 WE BB.]
So the question is?

What should I do next? I have a MetroPCS account already and I want to use that account on the BlackBerry. What kind of PRL should I download? and How can I write it?

OK... By saying *make sure your ESN is registered with MetroSystem you mean:
a) Change BB ESN to your old Phones' ESN
b) Call Metro for them to register your ESN [Hope this is not what you mean]
c) [UNKNOWN]

..I'll be looking on google where to download PQST 315. If you have the link I'll really appreciate if you forward it to me [[email protected]]. {I have PQST 264 installed and it works good but I'll try 315 just to follow instructions].

Yes you will have to go to a metro store and have them register your ESN with houdinisoft . I believe its 50$? I could be wrong maybe less but you cannot activate the phone until the ESN is in there system.
But as long as QPST is reading your phone then your fine using that version

How do I know if the PRL file was written on the BB? I get a VN_READONLY error and then the phone resets. I change the Directory Number using QPST and it changed but I don't know how to check if the PRL was written successfully?

Another thing... [LOL] You think they would happily register an unknown ESN?

LOL it DID! I dial *228! and it connected to MetroPCS... I was trying to register and I spoke to a Metro Specialist [using the BB] and she ask my for my ESN. **Then she looked on the database and didn't find my ESN and then she asked me "is the phone you're trying to register a metro Phone"... I said no... then she told me to go to a local store for them to 'FLASH' the phone. LMAO.

Now I was wondering if I can change the BB ESN for my old MetroPCS phone ESN...? I think is possible but using QPST I cannot access my NVM folder. I'm doing this:
a) Connect phone with QPST
b) Click on Start Clients
c) Click on ESF Explorer
d) Then I get a bunch of directories and some of them with a circle [kinda like the circle they put on the 'no smoking signs'. Meaning I cannot access those folders. [And the one I need is VNM]...

How can I access it?

*BTW: unknown ESN means: my BB ESN [sprint]
