1.Pl advise commands for QXDM 3.09.

2. What is the command to set the NAM Lock to False?
Thanks

the guide doesn't need to be quoted to ask a question...

if you read, you will notice people stating that many of the commands do not work in the 3.09 version of QXDM...that is why the tut said to use 2.08

that is your solution if you are having "Obsolete Command" error

also- use the latest CDMA Workshop of Infosoft Universal PST...that makes it so much easier.

Ok... I have a Verizon 8703e I am following the tut and the problem I am having is that when my phone is connected it is recognized as a "Universal Serial Bus controller" there for I do not have a "com port" to connect to through QPST or any other software for that matter it basicly recognizes through "Blackbery Desktop Manager" but nothing else. For the record I have read all threads twice to make sure I didnt miss a solution in previous posts. :) Seemed as if one other guy had same problem but never found solution.

no need to look...you can always have the latest cdma workshop from cdma-ware.com

and you can search for any version of infosoft universal pst.

try a different version of bb desktop manager...

if that doesn't work, then you are having a port issue, even though you cannot see it...

it only refuses to allow you to set a com port if there is a conflict on the ports that it wants to use...

the only way that i have found around this is to:
1. remove bb desktop software
2. remove all of the entries within the registry on my pc that hold the com port numbers for devices that have been previously installed
3. reinstall bb desktop software

do not ask for help on #2 as i will not provide any more information...that is up to you to find.

so the commands for the 3.09 add the word "Request"???

i've been using the old 2.08 because the commands that i know from that version do not work on the new 3.09.

this is good to know.

Thanks first off, again you was right. The problem was I used the new 4.7 desktop manager. So I uninstalled it then installed version 4.2... made all the difference. Also I flashed 6 of those phones successfully with QPST and they work great! Now heres the kicker... when I wrote the prl the spc was 000000 it has now changed to 000008 and I can not write (well rewrite) a prl to it. It tells me 000000 and 000008 is not a valid spc. However, on the phone I push ##000008 send and it will take me to menu on phone... Im stumpped.

Ohh yea and I also tried to rewrite to 000000 throgh QXDM and it said it was successfull but it still wont let me write.

probably your field service lock is 000008 and your spc is something different

that's why you should not use qpst to program blackberries

there is a fix somewhere, but if i knew it i would program this old poopie 7290 or watever that i have in a cabinet here somewhere

Why am I having so much trouble finding qxdm 2.08? Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction; Feel free to pm me or email at wx1svr at gmail
