I am in high school in ireland and wish to study law in college in america.
after doing a pre-law degree in college what route must i take to qualify as a lawyer in america?

In the United States there is no such thing as a pre-law degree. To study law in the United States you need a bachelor's degree since law is a post-graduate program here.

So obtain your bachelor's degree in any subject that you wish and then take the LSAT and start looking at prospective law schools in the States which you would like to attend. But right now, you are a long way away from worrying about attending law school here.
