I'm trying to beat the computer AI in Civilization IV at the Emperor level difficulty setting and it is *really* hard. Does anyone have any tips on what they've done either early game, mid-game, or late game that gives them a chance to win.
I hated Civ IV, Civ III was better and made more sense to me. I know in Civ 3 I would neglect my military at the beginning and try to keep peace while I would expand really quickly. Build cities a good distance away if it stops other countries from expanding into an area you want.
Build a lot of workers to build up a huge infrastructure because the highest productivity is more important than the most land area.
