How to assign ringtone as message alert on Kyocera Laylo M1400?

I am trying to assign a ringtone as a default message alert. When i go to message settings it doesnt let me choose from my saved sounds and when i open up my media and try to assign it only says contact message tone and "group msg tone" and "message group msg tone" Cant choose default message tone i can only set as default ringer. Any help?
 
go to contacts create go under view groups and press New to then select all ur contacts and put them in there for instance General, theres family, friends and business. Then go bak to media, tones, and open saved sounds once u pick da song select da message group u created where all ur contacts r in and whaaa laa u have ur individual tone ......howeverrrrr .....idk y but its onli gonna play for like 4 secs witout u pressin nethin idk y....hope this worked
