How to Adjust the height of a dining table?

Hi,

I have a dining table that I want to convert to being floor seated, to this effect, I'm planning on cutting the legs off, but I'd also like to use this a coffee table on occasion.

I remember (quite vividly) you used to be able to buy height adjusters that you would screw into the bottom of your table legs, they were largely used to counter an uneven floor.

Any ideas on what these are called?

They won't raise it and lower it that much. Your best bet is to buy different size legs at your local home improvment store. Check to see how the current legs fasten to your table and see if that could be an option for you.
