Sorry for the noob question but is it as easy as installing a rom.

I mean, once I flash froyo onto my Nexus, do I then flash the froyo-root-kerne34.signed.zip using amon Ra's recovery tools and the same exact steps as the rom?

I don't want to brick my phone and so any information will be helpful. btw, I've already created a nand backup and I'll do a wipe and install froyo shortly.

There are a couple you flash like a rom. The majority you fastboot flash the zimage and push /system/lib/ files with adb. You get the files you need to fastboot and adb in a ziped folder.
I was giving you a generalized answer, if your talking about Cyans kernel for froyo, yes you just flash it.

It appears that I would flash froyo-root-kernel34-signed like a rom based on the xda post about it.
"This is *not* a full ROM, but meant to be flashed over an existing stock installation."
Is that a correct assessment?

Thanks
Mike
