How to activate or de-activate my midi devices.?

In Cubase SX, under Devices; Device set up; Direct music, there are a list of midi devices with their direction ( in/out) on the left and active (yes/no) on the right. My only midi device marked as an input (SB Audigy midi 10 (1000) (emulated) is marked "no" (inactive) on the right and I can not change it.

I have a Yamaha S90 w/ a usb cable (out) going into my (PC) computer. I am also using a MOTU 828 audio interface with a firewire going to my computer. (it does not have a usb connector) When I play a note on the keyboard I can see the LED light up on the proper channel of the MOTU and can hear it thru my monitors but cannot see it on Cubase and it will not record. I am assuming its because my only midi input is not activated. I can record the Yamaha on an audio track but not midi. Any suggestions?
