How stupid could these people be? ( question about balloon boy news-story)?

the people im discussing the story with say that its real.

it's an obvious publicity stunt set up by the dad -

he was also on wife swap show - none of the facts add up.

How dumb do you think these people are and when will the truth come out?

That the whole balloon boy story is a hoax cooked up for attention?
 
You said it! They were on wife swap...the dad was on tv or something...and it seems to me like they just want to be seen on tv.
 
The family was just on Larry King and the kid slipped up and said, "You told me it was for the show." He was being asked why he didn't come out of hiding when he was callled. The parents looked scared and startled when he said this. You can't have a 6 year old lie because they are not smart enough to follow through. The police should step in now for FRAUD.
